Why is it that I never want to grow up? I age, but I never grow up. And to worsen the matter, I don’t even want to. I like to be the same old me.
One who keeps someone up late at night, just to talk some nonsense. One who gets wet in the rain, every single monsoon day. One who drinks tea at 3 AM in the night. One who smiles even at the toughest situation when surrounded by people and cries the moment when left alone. One who still keeps waiting for one reply from someone special. One who wants to lose weight, but never stops eating ice-cream or starts exercising. One who calls friends at midnight on their birthdays, and expects the same from them. One who listens to the same song over and over again, till others get irritated with it.
Well, the list will never end. But, the point is simple. Does it really matter if you don’t grow up? Can’t you just enjoy every moment of life in a way that you did when you were young? Does it hurt anyone? I guess, it doesn’t.
I think, the best and the most honest thing that you can do to the world and more to yourself is to live your life on your own rules. That way, even if you fall or get hurt, you have the satisfaction of trying instead of finding someone to put the blame on.
I pledge to live my life on my own rules. Do you?
Smiles,
Swapnil..

nice....well not sure how easy it is to live life on your own rules :)
ReplyDeleteWell, it isn't easy. But we can always try, can't we? :-)
Deleteyep!!! the word try sounds perfect!! we can :)
ReplyDeleteThat is really nice thougth.. but is it actuallly feasible? i mean there are always perceptions of ppl - i knw it doesnt matter what others think.. but it tough as we say we live in a society..again why have rules? why cant it be nice without rules? rules are constraints arnt they?
ReplyDeleteits only possible with Swapnil...and thats why you are who you are....I guess all of us are scared to live life on our own rules and we need appreciation or a stamp from others that we are doing the right thing......thats why we tend to do what others accept and not what we really like doing...well its getting too complex now....chill and be the way you are....i like it ......:)
ReplyDeletetrue :) lets enjy life and not make it complicated :p
